Formed (?) 2003 in and by the minds of Cotton Casino (Japan) and Per Gisle Galåen (Norway). One CD-album and a 7"-record out on excellent label Important Records. Instruments used:
Synthesizer, guitar, harp, theremin, voices, things, flute, tapes and beverage. Cotton used to be in Acid Mothers Temple, and does some recordings now and then with husband Billawtm. Per Gisle plays in various bands. As DEL, Ranheim, Slowburn and solo as in the name of Crazy River.
Important Records released The Birds' debut album 'Birds Birds Birds In The World' in the summer of 2005. Important Records also released the band's tribute to Velvet Underground which turned out to be a two-sided 7" record! Covered songs were Femme Fatale and Here She Comes Now. The Birds also released a live-cdr recorded in Antwerpen, Belgium during their European tour in 2003, with special-guest Billawtm. This was released by Audiobot.
The Birds still plan to play more.
