Benny Golson is a legendary bebop saxophonist and one of the greatest jazz musicians of all time. He performed as a band leader but also played with John Coltrane, Dizzy Gillespie, Tadd Dameron, Lionel Hampton, Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, Art Farmer, Johnny Hodges, Roland Kirk, Milt Jackson, Sarah Vaughan and many more. Benny Golson wrote several jazz standards such as “I remember Clifford” (as a tribute to trumpeter Clifford Brown), “Stablemates”, “Killer Joe”, “Whisper Not”, “Along Came Betty” to name but a few.
The sound has been digitally re-mastered to produce probably the finest sound quality ever!
