Sonic Bomb was established in '05 by Josephin "JO". Through all the lineup changes the band has always played Josephin's songs and fronted by Josephin.-right before Josephin began forming her band she released an EP "JO and the MuthaF!@$%^ers" (a showcase for Josephin “JO” with help from an all star Boston crew: Dropkick Murphy's drummer Matt Kelly, Tommy and the Terrors bassist Ryan Branigan and Lead Guitarist Lance Terror and The Tampoffs bassist Greg Prestash on rhythm guitar).

-After the self-titled EP was released Josephin was on a crossroad as to weather to pursue a solo career or whethear to front her own band. She knew she writes an incredible amount of hooks and catchy melodies on a regular basis so she was hoping Sonic Bomb could become both in a way. a band but a band where she could sing and play her own songs. A "home"/a "sand box" for all her songs. She tried many people to play with and at times thought she had found the right combination of players (like the 1st full lineup which included Joe M., Nate Morrison and Brian Carson) but like many bands Sonic Bomb went through an ever changing lineup of full time members & with Josephin, always, as the singer-songwriter and engine core of her band/ "her baby".

-The most recent lineup members to play with Josephin were: Ben Cook III, Jesse Boudreau and Justin Reynolds.

-"SONIC BOMB" stands for "a musical explosion" which describes the high-energy & explosive charisma of Josephin's music and Josephin's stand of Fighting injustice with harmonics" TM.

The anthem song "A Sonic Bomb" off of Josephin's upcoming solo album by Josephin will give you some insight to what Josephin had in mind when she originally came up with the name.

-Josephin's songs are influenced by 70's-80's punk bands such as "Cock SParrer", "Manace", "The Adicts" and rnr bands such as "Rose Tattoo" and "the Stooges".

The cool lyrics and sing-along melodies along with Josephin’s big “Etta James” meets “Janis Joplin” meets “Wendy O Williams” voice cross the lines of genres and touch people of all walks of life.

-Josephin was credited for singing backing vocals for Dropkick Murphy's "Warriors Code" album in 2006.

-Josephin is currently putting the band thing on a back burner and is looking for backing musicians for her upcoming solo album "A Sonic Bomb -Fighting injustice with harmonics"TM.
