The Ampros

The Ampros.



Coming from the suburbs of Cincinnati, Ohio, The Ampros (Us) have a long history for being such a young band. Four of us had been friends for years and even learned playing our instruments together in sixth grade before we even thought about making a band. In 2004, we finally wrote a couple of songs in a basement and decided that it was pretty fun and we should probably keep doing it. We went through a couple band member changes and finally got guitarist Taylor from another local band in Cincy. We won a couple battle of the bands and played almost every venue in and around the Cincinnati area and developed a fan base that we love. In 2006, we attracted some attention from an independent label based out of San Diego but we decided to move to Nashville to work with producer Adam Smith (Britt Nicole, Day of Fire, Krystal Meyers, etc.). In 2007, after lots of writing and studio work, we came out with our EP called "Let's Get Lost" which was produced, mixed, and recorded by Adam Smith. It's a mix of pop and rock that reminds a lot of people of the 90's rock a decade ago. We love music and playing shows, and Nigel from Spinal Tap.
