THE ALPINE SAYS GOODBYE

The members of The Alpine has decided to end their collaboration. It has been an amazing decade of working together, and the decision has been made in mutual respect between the band members.

There has been sooooo many people helping and working with us along the way - way too many to mention here, but we need to thank them all, give them our love and respect and a "so long and see you out there."

Also all of you who came to the concerts, and listen to our music - you have given us experiences for life. thank you!

The Alpine never left an audience without a true lovesong, and that's why we have released a live version of the song Adrian - taken from one of our last live concerts at Vesterbro Festival June 7th. 2008.

Watch it here or at youtube.com

That's it - lots of love - the Alpine.

THE ALBUM "THERE'S ONLY SO MUCH YOU CAN DO" IS OUT NOW IN DENMARK AND GERMANY!

English version:

After a whole year of touring in Denmark and Germany, The Alpine went into hiding at the beginning of 2007 and retreated to the confines of their own studio, ‘The Bunker'. They immersed themselves fully in the process of working on their follow-up to the debut album “On Feel Trips” (SonyBMG). Now, almost two years after the debut, their second full-length album is ready for the public’s ears.

The song “Youniverse” is the first single on the album and a good example of how The Alpine manage to combine carefree pop melodies together with aspects of the more gloomy side of modern life. The wordplay in the title “Youniverse” refers to the state of mind one is in when believing one is at the centre of the universe, and therefore assuming that everything revolves around oneself; something that often does not leave much room for other people. Thus, this is a critical reflection on a serious theme in the modern person’s everyday life, packaged in such a way that not much room will be left free on the dance floor.

“There’s Only So Much You Can Do” is due for release in Denmark on the 16th of April 2008 at Playground Music and in Germany in the month of May 2008 through Exzess Records and Roughtrade.

"There's Only So Much You Can Do" is co-produced and mixed by American producer Clif Norrell. Norell, who, due to his dedication, met the deadline despite the Californian wildfires, which earlier this year destroyed Malibu, where Norrell’s studio Casa Zuma is located. Clif Norrell has previously worked with artists such as Jeff Buckley, Weezer, Sting, Rush, Faith No More, R.E.M., Jewel and No Doubt

Det kommende album ”There’s Only So Much You Can Do” sendes på gaden i Danmark d. 16.
