Thea Crudi nasce il 19 maggio 1988 a Cattolica (RN), da padre italiano e madre finlandese. Oltre all'italiano, parla inglese, finlandese, francese e tedesco.
Dall'età di 17 anni studia jazz con Martina Grossi, Gabriele Zanchini, Sandra Cartolari, e frequenta seminari di Maria Pia De Vito (Nuoro Jazz 2009), Sheila Jordan (Caruso Jazz Club Firenze 2007 e Nuoro Jazz 2009), Jay Clayton, Roberta Gambarini, Rachel Gould, Fabio Zeppetella, Mike Melillo, Furio Di Castri, Mario Garuti, ottenendo ottimi riscontri. Nel frattempo inizia a esibirsi in club e teatri del riminese. Nel 2006, appena diciottenne, studia a Berlino e si esibisce nei principali locali della citta', e, rientrata in Italia, incide il suo primo cd "Thea for two", accompagnata dal maestro Marco di Meo alla chitarra.
Nel 2007 appare come special guest nel concerto "Omaggio a Gershwin" di Fabrizio Bosso e Renato Sellani al Teatro Massari di San Giovanni in Marignano (RN), esibizione che la battezza come "il futuro del vocal jazz italiano". Da allora affronta decine di concerti in Italia ed Europa, e apre le esibizioni italiane di Lena Conquest e Dave Burrell, Sarah Jane Morris, Tuck and Patti, Peggy Stern. Sempre nel 2007 collabora col compositore/pianista Paolo Marzocchi in diversi lavori per il cinema e l'arte contemporanea, tra cui la colonna sonora di "FortyNine", video-installazione del regista Michail Kosakowsky.
Nel 2008 viene ammessa al Corso Sperimentale di Jazz diretto dal M° Bruno Tommaso, presso il Conservatorio "G. Rossini" di Pesaro, e viene pubblicato il suo primo cd in quintetto, dal titolo "Star Eyes", distribuito da Cinedelic Records. Nel corso del 2008 si aggiudica inoltre l'Hengel Gualdi Jazz Award al Festival delle Arti di Bologna - diretto da Andrea Mingardi - premio che le permetterà di aprire due concerti del "Grazie a tutti" Tour di Gianni Morandi.
Nell'estate del 2009 si aggiudica il Primo Premio come Miglior Voce e il Terzo Posto come Miglior Gruppo al Premio Jimmy Woode del Tuscia in Jazz Festival. Sempre nell'estate del 2009 vince il Primo Premio come Miglior Gruppo con la formazione 2Flowers Jazz Sextet (Stefano Bartoloni-piano, Carmine Terracciano-chitarra, Massimiliano Tonelli-contrabbasso, Luca Luzi-batteria, Laura Avanzolini-voce) al MAU Festival, concorso musicale organizzato dall'Università degli Studi di Urbino.
Nel 2010 Thea si esibisce in un cameo nel film "Verso Asfu" (regia di Chiara Giannini), produzione cinematografica finanziata dalla Provincia di Rimini per il progetto "Incursioni Urbane". Sempre nel 2010 Thea incide un nuovo Disco-promo con il suo nuovo progetto musicale "Shout of the Butterfly", caratterizzato da composizioni inedite scritte da Thea Crudi e il suo quintetto. da questo lavoro vengono estratti i singoli "I wish upon a star" e "Prendimi e Baciami" che attualmente sono in programmazione in numerose radio italiane (Radio Anima Jazz, Radio Sound, Radio Studio A Network, ecc).
Nel 2011 partecipa al famoso programma televisivo finandese "IDOLS" sul canale nazionale MTV3, ottenendo molti consensi e successo.

Thea Crudi was born the 19th of May 1988 in Cattolica (Rn). Her mother is Finnish and her father is Italian.Thea speaks English, Italian, Finnish and French. At 17 years old she begins to study jazz with Martina Grossi, Gabriele Zanchini, Sandra Cartolari. She also attends workshops with international jazz artists such as Maria Pia De Vito (Nuoro Jazz 2009), Sheila Jordan (Caruso Jazz Club Firenze 2007 and Nuoro Jazz 2009), Jay Clayton (Milan 2008), Roberta Gambarini (Crossroads Jazz Festival - Ravenna 2008), Rachel Gould (Bravo Caf� - Bologna 2009), Fabio Zeppetella, Mike Melillo, Furio Di Castri, Mario Garuti, always finding excellent confirmation. At the same time she begins to perform in local clubs and theatres.
In June 2006, just turned eighteen, she continues to study jazz in Berlin; she performs in the main clubs of the city (B-Flat, A-Trane, BeBop), joining the jazz musicians' circle. When she comes back in Italy, Thea records her first Cd "Thea for two" with the guitarist Marco Di Meo.
In 2007 she appears as special guest during the concert "Homage to Gerswin" of Fabrizio Bosso and Renato Sellani at the Teatro Massari in San Giovanni in Marignano (RN). This performance brings her out as "the future of Italian vocal jazz".
From that moment on she performs a lot in Italy and Europe - London, Berlin (B-Flat, A-Trane) Paris (Sept Lizard Jazz Club), Helsinki (MilJazz Festival, Sture Jazz Club, Lasipalatsi Music Club) and opens the concerts of international jazz artists, such as Dave Burrell, Lena Conquest, Sarah Jane Morris, Tuck and Patti and Peggy Stern.
In 2008 she is admitted at the Jazz Departement directed by the Maestro Bruno Tommaso, at the Consevatory "G.Rossini" in Pesaro. At the same time, her first Album "Star Eyes" is published by Cinedelic Records and distributed in Italy, Germany and Japan.
During 2008 she wins the 1st Prize in the "Henghel Gualdi Jazz Award Competition" at the Festival of Arts in Bologna. This Prize will give her the opportunity in January 2009 to work with the famous Italian pop-singer Gianni Morandi, perfoming before him in two shows, during his "Grazie a Tutti Tour 2009".
In Summer 2009 she wins the "Best Voice" Prize, and the "Third Prize as Best Jazz Ensemble" in the Jimmy Woode Competition at the Tuscia in Jazz Festival 2009 (Soriano nel Ticino - Italy).
Always during Summer 2009, she wins the 1st Prize in the "Mau Festival Musical Competition" at the University of Urbino with the ensemble 2 Flowers Jazz Sextet (Stefano Bartoloni -piano, Massimiliano Tonelli - doublebass, Carmine Terracciano - guitar; Luca Luzi - drums, Laura Avanzolini - voice)
