THE ACCRUALOur Silent Soliloquy



What an intense ride this journey has been. Well not really. The Accrual is a three member acoustic band consisting of two guitarists and a singer. That is all. Sometimes three is all you really need to make some crazy ass tunes. All three members of The Accrual attend Freehold Boro Highschool where they are seniors. They are three big studs and the ladies love them. It's true. They know it.

There has been a lot of confusion as how to pronounce the name. The name is pronounced ACK ROO ALL. Say it three times fast and they promise you'll get it. The name was actually something totally random that sporadically came to Anthony's mind. Have you ever used Microsoft's Thesaurus? You should. It works miracles. Who has ever actually heard of the word Accrual before? NO ONE! Which is precisely why they chose it. Something different. Little did they know that later on their name would have so many different ways to say it. Nick, Anthony, and Mike have gotten some crazy pronunciations in their day of Accrual. They have gotten names such as Uh-Krew-el, ah-krew-ell, and any other different names you can think of.



ANYWAY.



The band formulated about October 2005 when Anthony auditioned for Nick in a cold basement when he sang Green Day. Anthony was pure gold, and it was a go since then. Later on, Anthony met the band which included about six members. Of these six members, they had two vocalists, two guitarists, a basist, and a drummer. Who needs all of that to make a sweeet sound? After ridding of a few members, they were down to four. Two vocalists, including Anthony, one guitarist (Nick), and a drummer. Things did not work out so well. It ended up with three members, two vocalists and a guitarist.



Skip a few months.



Finally it was Anthony and Nick alone in this fervent world of artists. It was instant gratification when they created their first song ever over the phone during a blizzard, "One Thing". After their first song was created, it was monumental success with the discovery of their second guitarist Mike AND playing ONE show. Total mindblower. Afterwards, they had a slew of songs with a demo CD, and after receiving high acceptance from the swarms of fans that included their families and school mates, they began playing more shows, ranging from Freehold to Red Bank, and the hell-whole Secaucus.



Let's take a second to reflect that horrible night.



Moment's over. As for now, The Accrual is continuing their success with their newly recorded songs and brilliant ideas that are sure to make The Beatles, Elvis Presley, and Madonna (yes Madonna) look like lumps of corn popping on a shovel. (what?).
