Eric Chavez a.k.a. Tha Franchize also was into music as a child growing into his teenage years, he listened to everything from rap, hip-hop, pop, and even heavy metal. Music was always there in his family and in his blood, his dad played bass in the church band and his cousin played keys for a different church. Eric always into music and how it was made would always play his dads keyboards just pushing keys with no real musical skill. In 9th grade many of his friends were in a beef with many other kids and they would make diss tracks back n forth and he began to become interested in the rapping’ and freestyling, it didn’t work the way he wanted and after a couple of months gave up on it. Over a year or so on December 20, 2005 his cousin who played in the church band had previously gotten a program called Reason 3.0 and he tried teaching Eric how to produce the tracks behind the raps after a brief overview of how to lay things down Eric was really trying to do something with it, he had the program installed on his computer and made a couple songs here and there nothing great beginner things. After struggles with a complicated program and researched on producing Eric began to use Fruity Loops Studio and with this he started off slow and over time and years of listening to music he began to see how songs were laid out and how things went and notes went together. Things began to go out for Eric after the first five months of real producing he began to work with some artist and made some hits. Now a little over a year into it Eric Chavez a.k.a. Tha Franchize is one of the hottest unknown producers in the Dallas area.
