THEBLINDUNION.COM says:

The Grand Atlantic. Hailing from the depths of the Mid-Willamette Valley, they burst forth in a blur of swinging guitars, shards of broken drum sticks, spit and burning embers that pour from their eyes. This six-piece, while still powerful individually, comes together like Megazord to create something beautiful and terrifying at the same time. Their music is a balance of black metal, melodic chord progressions, flowing harmonies, fast and heavy drums, with aggressive and commanding vocals. They take time to make sure each song tells a story both musically and lyrically. Wielding this music as there weapon, there live show engages those that face them with a fury that takes many captive and few can escape.

REDCROWNREVIEW.COM says:

What happens when you combine one part Unshrunk and four parts Letters? You get post-hardcore/rock band The Grand Atlantic. Depending on your age, or when you started attending Salem shows, you may remember hardcore/metal act "Unshrunk" (or possibly Morgan La Fey for others). Or for some of you, it may have been post-hardcore/indie rock band Letters. These local boys know a few things about music and performance and they show that in their live performance. Tonight was nothing different. Mixing heavy breakdowns (aka The Devil Wears Prada), low growls (i.e.-Unshrunk/Zao) and an on-stage lights show that makes for any good show. Finishing the night, they ended with sing-a-long song "Circles" and invited everyone on stage to end it on a high note.
