"Wren are one of our fine city's gorgeous little gems. Frontwoman Tess Henderson possesses rich, sublime vocals"

'Diamonds (Illy feat. Wren)' written by Illy, 2010
"Skub again at his finest. I love this beat, really moody shit. I copped a rough version towards the end of last year, but we all got in the studio again in July, re-did vocals, touched up the beat, and did final takes of the verses at the start of September. I don't think anyone other than Wren could've sung on this track, she is an amazing talent and totally steals the show. I'm lucky to be able to claim it. I wanted to do a song about a girl, but not just some bullshit track, cause its incredibly easy to sound like a knob as an Aussie rapper talking about girls. That said, Diamonds IS about love, and the ride that it entails. It's really abstract and sort of all over the place, which I dig cause again, talking directly "to" a girl is so easy to cock up. When it talks about this adventure they are on it's sort of a reference to the relationship, and the line "a diamond cuts a diamond" is a reference to having that person who makes you shine that much brighter than when you're by yourself, but also has the capacity to hurt you more than anyone else."

"There's an emotional and musical fragility to the acoustic pop of this 23 year old Melbournian that reminds me of Angie Hart. They also share a thing for classy British pop- while Hart once stripped New Order's Bizarre Love Triangle to its bones, Henderson does likewise on The Psychedelic Furs' Love My Way" JEFF APTER, Sydney Morning Herald.

"a haunting string and piano arrangement underlies a mystical lyrical and vocal delivery" CHRISTINE LAN, Beat Magazine.
