Tenderhead

Proto-alternarock band TENDERHEAD is the brainchild of front person /guitarist SHENA, who writes and composes the sound. Their brazen post punk melodic tunes can be best described as what would happen if the Red Hot Chili Peppers were to catch the falling Pretenders as they tripped over 80's era Sinead O'Connor's outstretched leg.



SHENA's edgy song craft has been likened to that of Neil Young, David Bowie, Patti Smith and Curtis Mayfield. Live performances have been described as "a Chocolate Rock wonder" by Sharon Wynne of Essence Magazine, who also adds "Shena oozes confidence and sex-appeal!".



OOZE is the band's latest 'no b-sides' CD release. "Progressive blues is born on 'Tether' by Tenderhead" -Simon Day/OkayPlayer.com; a song from OOZE and currently featured on the hit compilation BOLDASLOVE.US presents FIRE IN THE DARK on Amazon.com.

SHENA composes and scores original music for NBC, Bravo, Lifetime, Oxygen television, documentaries , PSA's, promos and commericals. She is currently writing for major label artists', film and tv projects. A model/actor, SHENA appears in numerous magazines and publications, on television and in film; allowing her to parlay her ongoing presence in print and television into a loyal and internationally growing fan base.
