TEMPO VALLEY

TEMPO VALLEY is a live band/production company which was first established in 2003 on the Windward side of Oahu, Hawaii now banging out beats out of Fort Union Studios in Chinatown.

Lead by Executive Producer Eugene "Slo" Carroll along with partners Sam "Kona" Askari (Musician/Songwriter) and Aaron "Dubulator" Friedman (Musician/Songwriter/Chief Engineer) the evolving ensemble is comprised of songwriters and musicians collaborating through a fusion of sound waves to showcase Hawaii's best of hip-hop, neo-soul, jazz, latin, funk, dub, and reggae through live performances and for a collection of Volumes released by the Tempo.



Volume I - Valley of the TEMPO (2004)

Is where it all started. With original members Slo, Johanne Mithchell, Kona and Jamal aka Killawattz da Mongoose, accoustic blues over breakbeats.



Volume II - MEMOIRS OF THE TEMPO (2007)

a free-form neo-soul/downtempo project featuring LadyPaisley and Seph1."a seductive blend of purely organic and harmonious poetry." with guest appearances by Iyeoka O., Oveous Maximus and co-produced by Ted De Oliveira.



Volume III - Knights of the TEMPO (TBA)

A Live Album recorded and performed at Jazz Minds Cafe showcasing "the Knights" ensemble: Slo, Kona (Guitar), Johnny Tanner (Guitar), the Dubulator Friedman (Bass), Juan Reyes (Trumpet) Lindy P.(Percusions) and "JuJuBeats" (Conscious Groove Records) also features vocalists Brian "B-Cap" Cappobianci, slam poetess Bridget Gray and special guest.
