The Bajo Sexto (12 String Guitar) was incorporated into Conjunto music as the tejanos didnt use the bass keys on the accordion, the bajo sexto would fill in the bass line. The Music has come along way with different styles of musicIt was known that legands like Narciso Martinez and Don Santiago Jimenez SR were Pioneers of Conjunto music, Polkas and Redovas were the music of Texas and later on with popular ranchera music that was all brought together with the likes of Valerio Longoria and Tony De La Rosa who played a major part in making the modern with the introduction of the electric bass and drums in their recordings and performances. Mingo Saldivar, Los Dos Gilbertos,Ruben Vela and Flaco Jimenez are just a few of big time Conjunto outfits that have toured all over the world.
