TRIBORO
Triboro, a group combining four experienced NYC underground hip hop artists, is quickly making noise throughout all five boroughs, releasing songs from their upcoming mixtape release, and popping up on stages all over the area.
The group consists of Sean Conn, representing Queens, Frsh Aire, from Harlem, and Elus and Verse both hailing from the Bronx. The group members, on camera and in the booth, exude an artistic camaraderie in a time when New York hip hop still lives under the perception of a lack of unity. This effort at cohesion is purposeful, as their bio information specifically states, “Triboro was formed with one common goal in mind purifying the state of hip hop and promoting unity within three boroughs of New York that are normally at odds.”
And in fact, the vibe and message in “Respect Who I’m Rhyming Wit” demonstrates how well these four compliment each other’s flow, providing hope that, as Verse states in the beginning, Triboro is indeed “a different kind of conglomerate”.
To help reaffirm this claim, Triboro is out and about, working the circuit in anticipation of their upcoming mixtape release, Carpe Diem, hosted by DJ Superstar Jay. The group was recently featured with the legendary Cold Crush Brothers on Emcee to Emcee, a TV show pilot orchestrated by Video Music Box icon Ralph McDaniels, and is showing up on hip hop video interviews left and right.
Triboro is working out of the MIKE29 Entertainment camp, a production company run by former RCA and Def Jam executive Michael Rohan. With an industry vet backing their efforts, a focus on sharp lyrical prowess, and a forceful stage presence, these hard working, hip hop grinders are well on the way to propelling Triboro to the forefront of the New York hip hop scene.
