THE CALM BEFORE

For some, The Calm Before has been missing in action since the beginning of 2007. Well, you'll have to be patient until later this summer, then we'll be back again. For others (in Saigon) you have got a sense of what our music is, but without the heartbeat and power delivered by the full trio. Its a catch 22, but I'm happy to be here in Vietnam and happy to be playing in front of new faces. The songs that I write or rather, the songs that write themselves through me, are a direct product of my surroundings; in other words: the songs that I've written here could not have been written somewhere else. Songwriting is my number one musical pleasure, so the new scenery definately adds fuel to my fire.
