We're Taste The Floor from Rome, Italy. We play a fast and thrashy hardcore influenced by bands like Scholastic Deth, Bones Brigade, DS-13, What Happens Next?, Vitamin X and stuff like that. We play together since 2003 and until now we recorded a demo and a self released 5 tracks ep, called "Rules/possibilities". These songs were recorded by a different line up, so people and zines compared us with bands like Propagandhi, Rise Against, Kid Dynamite, Gorilla Biscuits and Negazione (we had some lyrics in Italian too)
After three years the band we started again with a new singer, a new drummer and with one guitarist left. As a four-piece we recorded our first full length with the intention to be faster and less melodic. In this new cd you'll find 11 new tracks and a cover of the classic Scholastic Deth's Shackle me not!
Our lyrics are mainly based on reflections about society, relationships, the hardcore scene. We try to express our opinion without thinking we are repository of absolute truths, but just aiming to make some people reflect about things we care.
In these years we shared the stage with almost all the best and well known bands of our city (Strength Approach, Anti You, Coloss, Payback, Jet Market) many other Italian bands (Affluente, Death Before Work, Skruigners, Downright, Ouzo, Locked In) and some well known bands from abroad like Vitamin X, Municipal Waste, Bane, The Unseen, Hippycore, At Half Mast, Death Is Not Glamorous. In the next months we're going to plan some short tours across Europe.
The album has been produced by 14 labels: Beggar God Records, Black Records (Canada), ChanMax Records (France), AK Records, Dv's Records (France), Here and now, Kattive Maniere, Lamezia HC Family, Mad.Die Records, Piccole Speranze, Radio Riot, Rimini Hardcore, Rising Riot Records (Germany), World's Appreciated Kitsch (Greece).
