T.A.S.K. Bio:



At an early age Tobi (T.A.S.K.) Smith exhibited a love for true, hip hop, laying the foundation for his production style by immersing himself in the work of golden era greats including the BeatMinerz, DJ Premier, Large Professor, Hi-Tek, Easy Mo Bee, The RZA, and Q-Tip to name a few. In 2005 at age 16 T.A.S.K. started his own production company, worked with and played an active role in the beginnings of several DMV based artists. Known for combining a timeless Golden Era hop while incorporating hard hitting but finesse laced soul laced accompaniments. With that style he established T.A.S.K. Productions, his label and production company.



FlyBoyRadio



Stemming from his music production, in the June of 2008, T.A.S.K. began the movement which is "FlyBoyRadio" out of the University of Maryland's legendary WMUC Studios in College Park, Maryland . The show which has been dubbed "The Best Damn College Radio Show on Earth" is hosted by himself & a tight knit conglomerate of DMV tastemakers and personalities including Isaac "Izeeky the Most Freaky" Liverpool, Patrick "Patisdope" Blanchard, Ermias "EazyErm" Gherense, Courtney "CWhit" Whitaker, Greg "DJ Uneek" King, and Jamal "J. Ferb" Ferby. Airing every Sunday from 3-6PM on WMUC88.1FM College Park and wmucradio.com worldwide, FlyBoyRadio has gained a cult following consisting of hip-hop lovers and aficionados world wide. T.A.S.K. is now currently coming off the heels of executively producing the young Memphis MC J. Ferb's debut body of work "Chase the Dreams, Not the Competition" . Initiating the dispersement of the T.A.S.K. Productions sound. Stay tuned much more is in store for T.A.S.K. Productions in 2010.
