Tasha Maria is an intelligent, classically-trained musician, actress and dancer. Her musical and dramatic performances are characterised by obvious enthusiasm, her unflagging energy and an ability to communicate on several levels with her audience.

As a singer she is immensely talented and versatile, switching effortlessly between contrasting personas and musical styles: from the demure university choral scholar to the glamorous chanteuse; from the precise intonation and purity of tone required for choral music, including Mendelssohn’s heart-rending Hear my Prayer/O for the Wings of a Dove and the sublime and virtuosic soprano soloist’s high Cs of Allegri’s Miserere (performed on tour in the composer’s native Italy), to the swinging rhythms and intimate Jazz-vocals of Gershwin (performed live in café cabaret). She particularly enjoys singing the music of Purcell and Handel’s era, but has championed in her vocal recitals the songs of early twentieth-century English composers such as Ivor Gurney and W. Denis Browne.

Tasha is keen to work further in musical theatre and build on her experience gained from dancing (leads in the ballet shows The Wizard of Oz and Pinnochio) and acting (including the role of Elizabeth Proctor in The Crucible and Ruth in Blythe Spirit). In addition to the piano, her musical abilities extend to the harp and she enjoys performing for weddings and soirées. She devotes her spare time to horse riding.

Her main interests are most Choral music, Early music, Musical Theatre, Opera, 30's music and Jazz.
