Band bio:
Tarantella started up in 2000. Liv-Hilde and Inger-Lise from the previous fuzzrock band "Heart of Darkness" wanted to make some new and creative music.
They got Monica Ruud (who had played drums in Cybele and Dr. Kurt + other bands - and now Bøyen beng / Kakke & DeMonica )with them. Inger-Lise started
to
sing for the first time (after playing guitar) and Monica changed her drums with synth. Marianne Mortensen stepped in at drums and Taran Greni, who had
played in different bands (mainly with Maria Orieta ) wanted to play bass. Taran sometimes sings for Big Bang and Undertakers Circus.
The band played for a while and recorded some songs in 2001 and 2002. Amongst these are Laika which is about the russian dog Laika who was the
first dog in space.
Marianne, Monica and Liv-Hilde played a few concerts.



Taran, Monica and Liv-Hilde recorded four new songs, (Jewel is one of them) and they played a few gigs.
Ragnhild Sarsten from Bøyen beng joined Tarantella with her el-piano at the concert October 18th
2008.
In 2009 Liv-Hilde and DeMonica recorded even 4 new songs with Mats Davidsen from
Painted Romans on bass!
