Raz started his career as resident-DJ at ‘Club Barumba’ in Lier. In 2006, Antwerp’s most famous club ‘Café d'Anvers’ invited Raz to spread his ‘electronic feel good-vibes.’ Raz develops into 'The Ramone' under the DJ's: He mixes at an incomparable tempo funky, electro and mashed up records. Meanwhile the party crowd at 'Culture Club', 'Petrol' and 'De Cinema' got to know him.

Raz commonly provides mixtapes for the “Studio-Brussel” radio-show “Mish Mash”: an upfront guerrilla-music program with a party-feel in which the choice of the records goes further than the mainstream! He brings a mix of cool rock & dance, bootlegs and mashup's. Recognizable but different!

Other radio stations that frequently broadcast his DJ-sets are Pure FM (Dirty FM), FM Brussel (Propaganda), URgent FM and Oradio.

Raz is well-known and loved at several concert halls and festivals in the Benelux.

Playing the keyboards in the band ‘Mintzkov’, he was seen at Pukkelpop, Lowlands, Marktrock, Boomtown, the Ancienne Belgique, .

Ben @ 'Going Out' (JIM TV): Raz, The king of Mash Up's!

JIM TV presents 'Going Nuts' @ Culture Club: Raz

'A man, on the verge of a breakthrough.' Raz is Mr Mashup pre-eminently.

His own Mashup's are generally better than the original and that's the way we like it! Deee-Lite blended with Lenny Kravitz? AC-DC in the mix with Justin Timberlake? No Problem! RaZ brings a mix of cool rock & dance, bootlegs and mashup's!

Lux Janssens 'Mish Mash' (Studio Brussel): We're gonna hear much more of the pimping beats of Raz.

Lux Janssens 'Mish Mash' (Studio Brussel): Raz brings the soundtrack to improved footwork!

Raz @ Nijdrop:

For the first Deluxe of the fall, we could catch Raz. He is at least just as famous and notorious as a dj then as the synth player of the band Mintzkov. Every now and then he is named the Ramone under the Belgian dj's, because of his super-fast mashup mix-style.

Raz @ Propaganda (FM Brussel):

Raz played already in famous clubs like Culture Club, Café d'Anvers and Petrol and shared decks with Alex Gopher, Starski & Tonic, and Fredo & Thang. We like his mix of rock and electro. The mash-ups he plays are made by himself and they are of high quality.

Petrol newsletter: “Professional eclectics!”

Some favourably words of Stanley Livingstone (Squadra Bossa):

“It was quite a job to listen to the pile of cd's'. There were some strong DJ’s: talented newcomers, some with tons of experience, knowing that a recorded set is only one moment in time. Yet I have paid attention to the ‘backbone’ of the DJ: the choice of the records and the creativity to deal with them is very important to me, considering all of this, I was almost immediately charmed by Raz.

Perhaps he picks up current trends (mashups …) a little to much but mainly his nerve and the natural way that he finds a balance between classics (even rock!) and funky contemporary electro, convince me to choose him to kick of 'Push it'! When you look at his references, he is definitely not a newbie … Culture Club, Petrol, FM Brussel, Switch 'discover the dj' and a special recognition of Luc Janssens: ‘We're gonna hear much more of the pimping beats of Raz.’ I can only approve of his words.

Although I hope that he somehow adapts his sets to the event, his part in the happening, and of course, the public of that evening. But I have trust in him: someone with such a record collection has probably yet more in store to knock out/ heat up any crowd.”
