TAM is a
self-managed musician.
Her first self-titled "TAM" cd
was released by Thurston Moore in 2006
on Ecstatic Peace/Universal.
( TAM found under STORE on ecstaticpeace.com)
Publishing contract with Hamburg's FREIBANK in 2008.
TAM opened for NICK CAVE
AND THE BAD SEEDS and opened for David J Haskins of Bauhaus .
Played Osheaga fest
& Pop Mtl gigs.
She currently works solo
with drum/noise trax,
or with band, guitarist
Eric Sandmark (of Ray Condo)
and ion on drums.
HISTORY: 1990- 1996:
Rhythm guitar in
Mike King's Django Reinhardt
cover band Swing Dynamic.
CBC recording Mtl & Halifax Jazzfests.
Mike King committed suicide
by hanging himself on her birthday.
Tam then did Oasis/Beatles covers
with drummer Peter Boucher,
who later also committed suicide.
The company Someone Else Intl.
brought TAM to "In The City" fest
in Manchester, UK,
where she stayed with New Order
re-mixer/DJ Arthur Baker.
Back in Canada, Tam formed
" THE VAMPIRES" with ANDY FLESH,
bassist Johnny Souranis (of Men Without Hats)
Tam opened for The Unicorns.
-THE VAMPIRES got a one-year
residency at the now-defunct punk bar
PASALAMANY, where TAM met DAVE WENGER
of Daddy's Hands, who asked her to
play his material and she recorded some of his songs.
TAM was then signed by Thurston Moore
who changed her band's name from
THE VAMPIRES to TAM,
excluding Andy Flesh's material,
but including Dave Wenger's
covers instead.
In Nov. 2006, Dave Wenger
was tragically killed
in a hit-and-run accident.
Andy Flesh left the band.
Tam worked for
Jean Leloup on Le Dome
storyboard.
She did more solo east
North American touring.
