Dominating the mid-eastern coast region, TAG MUSIC GROUP (TMG) is creating more buzz than a storm of hornets. Consisting of hit making producers and lyrically raw MCs, this independent music label is very soon the future of east coast Rap/RnB. Stationed in Washington DC Metro Area/Southern Maryland/Northern Virginia, this label has every angle covered by mixing NYC styles with southern twang. Each artist from this label has something different to offer which creates more of a challenge to any competition. TAG Studios created and founded back in 2002 by music producer, Ty Baldwin aka Ty-Up sets the foundation for this movement. The name TAG is in recognition and derived from the names of loved ones. With this as motivation and possessing a strong musician background, Ty-Up incorporates many different elements into his music, especially a strong backbeat and funk. He is not scared to use different sounds and melodies, especially the ones that arent typical to Rap & RnB music. After opportunities working with artists like Jay-Z, Trey Songz, Bobby Valentino, Chyna White, Big Pun, Shells and more, Ty-Up is focused on heading straight for a top 10 hit.
Currently their super Street Single MONEY, GUNZ, DRUGZ produced by Ty-Up featuring Geolani, Montega, and Roca-Fella Records own Freeway has every one stretching their necks and bumping their trunks. With heavy metal guitars riffs and powerful club beat, this single is definitely not an average Rap song. But with the lyrical combination of TMGs soldiers, Geolani and Montega, and Freeway, the energy definitely makes this track a mixtape/album favorite. We hear this song played everywhere.
