The System, a production/songwriting team based in Southern California doesnt just create beats; they break boundaries, producing innovative new sounds.

The system methodically fuses three faces of music- Emmanuel Soulnana Obeng of Ghana, West Africa; Tsuyoshi Taka Takayanagi of Japan; and Lavon K.A. Stonum Jr. of Carson, CA- with one vibe, to reflect true individualism through their sounds.

We are not afraid to be revolutionary or to be different.

The strength of The System comes from its members.

Emmanuel Soulnana Obeng is the son of famous Ghanaian drummer Rim Obeng, who played for Fela Kuti and in the Uhuru band. As a child, I was always around music, its no mystery why I can play the drums although I havent had formal training. Since then Soulnana has provided rythmic backdrops for Rayven Simones Supernatural, Like Mike 2 Soundtrack, and EA Sports NBA Street V3. Soulnana brings a solid foundation of hypnotic rythms and soul to the system.Tsuyoshi Taka

Takayanagi has been professionally producing, writing, and arranging for over 15 years. From producing and writing Is it good to you? (7 R&B Billboard) for The Whispers, Nancy Wilsons Do you still dream about me? and Hikaru Utadas 1 single Automatic-propelling her debut album First Love to an astounding 8 million records sold! Taka has already proven his ability to arrange and craft songs that transcend time and place. Tsuyoshi brings a solid foundation of catchy melodies and artistic depth to the system.

Lavon K.A. Stonum Jr. displayed an interest and also an ability to write and produce at the age of eight. His interest has since expanded to engineering, working with the likes of DJ Quik, Battle Cat, and Shanice Wilson.

At this point, there isnt anything that can hold The System back. Challenges drive this dedicated team to write and produce timeless music that evokes people to explore new sounds, but more importantly, to produce beats that everyone can move with. They see no limits, only infinite possibilities.
