SXX is a hard rock band who lives by the attitude of "Work Hard, Play Hard". The Kalamazoo, Michigan band continues to gain new fans as they write songs, record, and perform live. Since the formation of the band in the late 1990's, SXX has independently released 6 albums and performed countless concerts that broaden the band's following.
SXX is Richard Nuyen (Lead Vocals, Bass), Shawn Rainer (Drums), Jeff Weers (Electric Guitar), and Joe Taylor (Electric Guitar, Vocals). SXX puts on a high energy rock show with crunchy precise rhythms, ripping duel leads, and hard driving original songs. The band is currently performing live and recording a new studio album slated for release in spring 2012. They play shows in rock clubs, outdoor summer festivals, theaters, and just about anywhere their fans will bring them.
SXX has performed rock concerts with national touring acts Sevendust, Jackyl, Otep, Firehouse, LA Guns, Adler's Appetite and more. They have also performed with hundreds of Michigan bands and regional acts. The band has played successful music festivals like The Sturgis Toy Run, Grand Haven Coast Guard Festival, and Rockapalooza, bringing their own brand of hard rock to thousands of new fans and fellow rockers.
With a new album in the works aptly titled "Tell Your Friends", SXX is gearing up to take their rock & roll to a regional, and then national level. Crank up some SXX and rock out!
