"What's sweeter than Sweets?" This is the question used by Marcea "Sweets" Blake as she sets you in the mood to experience her music. As a native of Allentown, Pennsylvania, now residing in Music City, USA, Sweets' style is a mixture of East Coast Soul and R&B instrumentals similar to that of Lauryn Hill. During an era in which Hip-Hop's top ladies are more concerned with sex appeal than musical talent, Sweets is a cleansing for the consumer's ear.



She began writing poetry in High School which, as it does for most poets, progressively moved her over to the music sheets. This young rapper/singer/model also possesses a seductive, raspy voice that grabs the listeners attention as she guides you through her tales concerning the tribulations of love and relationships. Sweets is definitely one of the most promising newcomers from the Rock Solid Entertainment camp, containing both class and sex appeal, to create the "Total Package", as she like to call herself.



She also refers to herself as, "that secret family recipe." The recipe includes Lauryn Hill's ability to rap and sing, a Foxy Brown-type flow, topped with the natural sex appeal of the late Aaliyah. Now 6 years strong in the music business, Sweets feels that her skills have been honed and she is ready to take on the world. While remaining very humble, she is also confident in her abilities and understands herself as an artist.
