Long time since we've posted, I know =[ But we're proud to have posted 2 new songs from the EP, and if you are reading this, you will know that we will probably post a 3rd or 4th in the near future once the EP is actually in our hands. NEW MYSPACE LAUNCH! - 11/19/09
Hey everyone, welcome to the new myspace layout! How's it look? This will be the news sections for little mini updates on what we've been doing.
Right now, we are still producing and perfecting our songs for our new EP coming out next spring entitled "Stop, Drop, & Eggroll"! Forgive us for taking so long with this. We are still yet to begin the actual recording, but the wait will be so worth it and you can trust that once we have our first song finished, we will post it for ya!
This winter's tour will be a shorter but good one so keep an eye on our show section for dates! We will be touring with Nemes and playing with a few other friends along the way such as Letterday and Sans Ego.

Hello!!
Sweet Hollow Drive could be the friendliest band you have ever met. In fact it is this quality indeed that helped to form the band’s strong bond. Hailing from every corner of Long Island, this pop-rock group consists of Alex Glover (Vocals/Bass), Danny Ensanian (Drums), Mikey Molloy (Vocals/Guitar) and Rob Nolan (Guitar/Synth). Forming their current line up in the summer of 2007, the band immediately began work on their first full-length album entitled "The Perfect Blue" later released in Fall 2008. The album displays the band’s many influences, containing a variety of catchy, melodic tunes; something for everyone. Influences would include, but are certainly not limited to other pop/rock bands such as Relient K, Anberlin, and The Friday Night Boys. SHD is always continuing to evolve and perfect their direction. We will be able to witness a new pop-filled, genuine set of tunes in May 2010 on the new EP entitled “Stop, Drop, & Eggroll.”
Sweet Hollow Drive has had the honor of sharing the stage with national acts such as The Ataris, Patent Pending, Stereo Skyline, We Shot The Moon, and Holiday Parade. Performing and touring lets SHD develop the most wholesome relationships with fans, both old and new. “Touring is a whole new and wild experience,” drummer Danny Ensanian explains “where you’ll have the worst and most awkward things happen to you, yet selling a CD to a new fan instantly makes everything better.” Whether you see Danny and Alex behind the merch table talking with new fans or Rob and Mikey showing off their equipment to young and aspiring guitarists, the relationships with fans is what drives bands like Sweet Hollow Drive to keep moving forward.
It is not the typical “bar shows” that this band pursues, but more often the charities, the Relay For Life and high school events, the church performances, and the community center benefit concerts. The band’s goal is to meet as many people as they can while giving back to charitable causes whenever possible. It is quite a different route from the pay-to-play trap that many young bands on Long Island fall into today.
Up through this point in time, Sweet Hollow Drive has been a completely “Do-It-Yourself” operation, taking everything from merchandise design to regional tour booking into its own hands. You may soon see this passion when you fall in love with the Sweet Hollow Drive dino or panda t-shirt. Simply taking a look at their website (www.myspace.com/sweethollowdrive) will show the effort the band puts forth into promoting its music.
As for the next 12 months, Sweet Hollow Drive will continue to tour through summer 2010 with their friends in Nemes from Massachusetts. Equipped with a new 12-passenger tour van, these boys will be ready for some serious traveling. Together, the two groups are aiming to book their first semi-national tour with stops from Portland, to Chicago and down to Miami. Supporting the earlier mentioned “Stop, Drop, & Eggroll” EP, SHD is indeed looking to make a solid impression on anyone and everyone willing to listen. When the band has a few CD’s lying around the van, it means it only means that its time to hit up the nearest mall and shove a set of ear-buds into a new fan’s ears.
This set of musicians has the mental drive, passion, and energy to inject music into the hearts and souls of everyone they perform for. This band is a family.
