Sweepstakes started his career as a street battle rapper. At a young age Sweepstakes developed his swagger and was quickly introduce as a prolific artist in his community. In the begging stages of Sweepstakes career he was strictly a street hard core rapper but with time he has matured as a man so did his flow. It was important for Sweepstakes to make the transaction from good rapper to song writer if he wanted to get the world wide reconnection he feels he deserve. Sweepstakes has had opportunities to do business with Cash money records and Sony records but didn’t feel like the offer they had for him was acceptable enough. In 2002 Sweepstakes started a rap group by the name of Big-Trump which consist of 6 group members Tommy Snubz, Greenbacks, Tone Death, BamBoo, Mossberg, and the general Sweepstakes. When Sweepstakes older cousin and mentor BamBoo got locked up for and attempted murder charge it dismantled the group. So eventually Sweepstakes came across child hood friend O-O who also had plans of heavily getting involved with music. Surprisingly in the mist of Sweepstakes and O-O collaborating on music O-O get’s locked up. At that point Sweepstakes gave up hope and starting hustling full time and put music to the back burner. In 2006 by the grace of God Sweepstakes runs into a child hood friend by the name of Krystal Burch who happens to be a video director who is a fan of Sweepstakes music and offers him an distribution deal. Sweepstakes currently resides in Charlotte N.C and continues to distribute his music independently throughout the southeast region.

Color: Who are some of your influences?



Sweepstakes: My influences are people who came in the game and kept it real you can’t forget where you came from. But to be honest people from my city influence me like Yatta man Fran.D and Black Watch people who I seen with my own eyes doing they thing and really motivated my pin to move.



Color: How long have you been doing music for?



Sweepstakes: I have be recording since I was 13 years old so I guess you can say about 12 years strong now.



Color: What label would you sign with if you can choose any label who would you choose?



Sweepstakes: I’m open minded I guess who ever makes the best offer (big smile on his face while talking) You know show me the money.



Color: For the young lady’s is Sweepstakes single?



Sweepstakes: At the moment yes I’m single and enjoying the stress free life. Females not all females but most females are not understanding that don’t understand the grind that an independent artist has to have.



Color: So what project is next after All money aint good money?



Sweepstakes: Probably a movie na na just playing I don’t know my artist our on some other shit right now so me and my nigga Fran might do something.
