Fear and Loathing In Southern Manitoba: A Biography:

Swallowing Shit became a band late 1994, or early 1995. The band was a sad joke, As demonstrated at the first show, early 1995 with I Spy and Shit at the west end cultural centre. The original Line-up featured Mike Koop,Steve Dueck and Mike Alexander. The band recorded a horrifyingly bad self-titled Demo April and May of 1995 with the assistance of second guitar played by Dean Bruce and Bass guitar being played by Jahmeel Russell. Within three seconds' of the Demos' release, Mike Koop had left the band and soon Dean left the band as well. After that, Mark Nowak joined as a guitar player. Then Steve left and Cory Koss replaced him on drums. A 7" was recorded and released shortly afterwards. After the 7", Jahmeel and Mark both left the band. They were replaced with Todd Kowalski on guitar and Brian Dobson on Bass. This would be the final Line-Up. Twelve songs were written, eleven of which appeared as a release on Spiral Objetive Records. The 12th, A cover of " American Luck" by Guelph ON's pride and joy. RAZOR, was never recorded. Swallowing Shit's last show occurred June,1997 with The Weakerthans and J Church at the West End Cultural Centre. Many of the members are still active in the Winnipeg music scene. Todd plays bass for Propagandhi, Mike sings for Head Hits Concrete and books shows in Winnipeg, Jahmeel sings and plays guitar in the Projector, and Cory continues to play drums for Malefaction. Mark Nowak is attending school, Mike Koop is in a pop band whose name I can't recall right now, and I have no Idea what became of steve or Dean.

Head hits concrete and Malefaction are no longer. And you probably already know that Mike sings for Putrescence.
