Supershine

The name of the band really says a lot about the colorful path this group has taken from their origins
to where they are now, and all this in the space of a few years. No matter what this young rock band
get involved with on their path to stardom it just can't be too festive when lead singer Kristoffer
Blom, bassist Simon McNair, guitarist Christoffer Iuel and Mathias Sarsgaard on drums get to call
the shots.
The boys have finally reached the end of the long and educational recording process for their debut
album with producer Jakob Winther. It's been more than a year and a half since the band began
working on Diamond Valley. Their level of ambition and perfectionism actually made them scrap the
almost finished album, to start all over. A long and intricate process, which makes Supershine
explosively mature.
Drummer Mathias Sarsgaard is portrayed on the cover in front of a lens top models only dream to
pose before. Notorious French photographer and former Dior Homme designer Hedi Slimane fell for
the skinny tattooed drummer during the photo session for the Vman editorial "Danish Youth In
Revolt". The band has always had a "fuck it, let's do it" attitude towards getting things done. So they
phoned Slimane's agent and was rewarded with the picture two days later – not bad, when you
bear in mind the last album cover Hedi shoot was Lady Gagas.
