Whats good, this is Drake Murphy. Im 22 and music is my life. I grew up all around music. I started playing piano and drums at age 3. Then in the 4th grade, I picked up the violin. I played for Aberdeen Middle School until the 6th grade. In the 6th grade, I started playing the trombone and the drums for the school band. I moved on to High School band and I played the trombone and drums also. I made the HWE (Honors Wind Ensemble) Band my 9th grade year. My 10th grade year, I was a Cadre' in the marching band for the Trombone section. I then moved on to be low brass section leader my 11th and 12th grade years. The Pinecrest band was kinda str8 foward and up tight to say the least to say haha. We played thngs like old rock songs. We didnt have the crowd really so I wrote out all the top hip-hop songs for every instrument. We played all the top hits. My favorite songs that we did was that trick "Shut Up" and that OutKast Song "SpottieOttieDopaliscious". I went on with band and had offers for scholorships. I had an offer from University of Miami that was crazzzzzzy. Thanks Mr.McCrimmon Basically. I went to Livingstone College for like 3 weeks and I decided that I hated being away from my Studio equiptment. So I came home and I went to Sandhills Community College. I love that school. I am still studying Music Theory. Thats my Passion. Well thats basically it with the technical side of music. Lets talk popular music now. When I was young, my pops was going to UNC Chapel Hill (Go Tar Heels) and we were living in the Married student Housing. All my friends were from other countries it seemd like. So my choice of music was very diverse. I was a rock head. I was str8 Bon Jovi. I listened to hip-hop too. My favorite song was that "OPP Yeah You Know Me". I really didnt start listening to rap until I moved to Southern Pines NC. I was introduced to a whole new way of life. All of my family lived there and I went to school with all of my cousins so we grew up like brothers and sisters. From there I moved to Addor NC. Thats where I was embraced my rap music. From then on I was in love with the whole hip-hop culture. In the 6th grade, My homeboy Kenzie told me that I couldnt DJ better than him. At the time I had no idea what DJ'ing was haha. I thought it was making a beat. So I grew up in studios also and my dad had his studio in the house so he tought me how to use it. So I made a beat and I took it to school and let the boyz hear it. They loved it. So from then on I have been doing production. When I was in the 7th grade, my brother Kent and I decided to combine forces and be a production team. Our leading influence is The Neptunes. When we first heard them we fell in love. We used to be called Camillion (Ka-Milli-on AKA ME) and He was Phantom, until we realized that was stupid so we changed it to A-Bomb Productions. We got that name from the hood we grew up in. Addor. Our uncle David gave us the name BeatMizers. I will go into detail how we got that later lol. From there, it has been non stop. We grew into a Crew that we recorded with. It started with Lil DC in the parking lot of Lowes Food in Pinehurst NC. I put on a beat and he made a song to it atthe age of like 11 or 12. That guy is talented. Then My homie from school S.Con came along with J-Leathal. They were the illist rappers That I still know. About a year later. Kodac Came along. its been crazy ever sence. That is the Foundation of the Sub-Street "BassHeadz". We put out song after song and got the streets loving us. Not to mention the Ladies lol. Our roster is crazy now. We have had some once in a life time experiences become an everyday thing. Kent just recently went out to Cali to work with Dr.Dre. That was crazy. We just Moved down to Miami. This whole experiance is a blessing for us. We have made so many connections. The studio we record out of is Crazy. Its the studio of D-SHEP AKA Miami's heat.Bbe onthe look out for him. But we just count every day as a blessing. Its not everyday that a pair of brothers 22 and 23 from str8 outta tha woods of NC get these experiences. Living in the heart of Miami beachthats all I have to say hahaha. But seriously without Jesus none of this would be possible so all honor and glory to him. But yeah, Ill put a blog up telling you our track record in detial. Remind me please lol Im a busy man hahaha. Well thanks for checking out my page. Feel free to Add my music to your page.
