SUBLIMINAL SABOTAGE

SUBLIMINAL SABOTAGE may be known as one of the largest hip hop groups

to sprout from the soil of HUMBOLDT COUNTY CALIFORNIA, but the band was originally started by four youngsters with a simple dream to express themselves. Sticking to the principles taught to them by generations of local artists they have managed to evolve into a veritable "hip hop orchestra".



Emcee's ELISION, MIKASUN and EMCEE PROBLEMATIC along with

Producer/Percussionist GALEN DAVIS started the group at the turn of the new

millennium with the intent to simply make music that reflected their respect and appreciation for the beauty of their homeland. In early 2004 they teamed up with Production Duo DJ JUSTIN "JUST ONE" MILLER and BRIAN "B. SWIZLO" SWISLOW to create the musical machine SUBLIMINAL SABOTAGE was always meant to be. Forming their backing band out of HUMBOLDT COUNTY rockers THE NUCLEUS and, with the induction of Singer/Songwriter BEREL ALEXANDER and Cellist MIKE LEE, the depth and range of SUB SAB grew ten-fold, quickly spreading their name across the local music scene.



In their first two years of performing live they shared the stage with such

acts as The Marley Brothers & Ghetto Youth Crew, B. Legit, The Coup, Sean Paul, Andre Nickatina, Fishbone and Collie Buddz amongst others. They played at Reggae On The River 2006,

Reggae Rising 2007 and both the Reggae On The River AND Reggae Rising after parties in 2008 as well as a laundry-list of other local festivals, fundraisers, benefits and blowouts. Although the Drummer and Lead Guitarist of THE NUCLEUS have since branched off, Bassist STEVE WEBB remained and, with the addition of Drummer COREY WINER in late 2008, SUB SAB kept its momentum.



Accompanied by an "army" of guest musicians, vocalists, artists and special appearances, their uniqueness and integrity have kept the crowd moving since their humble beginning. They've been involved in numerous solo and group projects including ELISION - CHAPTER 1 - INTRODUCTION , MIKASUN - STRATEGIC VISION , JUST ONE & B. SWIZLO PRESENT NYCA VOL.1, EMCEE PROBLEMATIC - I'M IN LOVE WITH DEATH , B. SWIZLO - FUTURE HITS OF THAT HUMBOLDT $!? , MR. GARTH-CULTI-VADER - UNPREDICTABLE INDIVIDUAL & TETRAGROOVE PRESENTS THE HUMBOLDT COLLECTIVE just to name a few. They challenge you to learn something new about yourself while having fun with your loved ones - all inspired by the power of HIP HOP.
