From the stormy attitudes in the streets of Compton, Stylio has emerged as a lyrical performer that brings to life every song. Stylio studied music at Mt. Pleasant College in East Texas. Although his style is uniquely inventive, he would be the first to admit that Tupac Shakur has heavily influenced his style, in addition to his deceased brother, Yogi (R.I.P.).



Throughout his adolescent years, life presented Stylio with plenty of harsh dilemmas, great challenges and unpleasant encounters which in turn, left him feeling as though he was always on the receiving end; battling against the oppositional team. He was surrounded by drugs, gangs, pessimism, violence, chaos and controversy. Due to an unsafe and unhealthy environment that he was constantly in, Stylio witnessed and experienced a lot at a very early age. His world was a place of all despair and no hope.



He internalized a lot of his feelings and felt as though he didnt have a voice as a child. However, he found a way to foster and express his feelings with the use of a pencil and paper coupled with Hip-Hop music influence which gave him some degree of solace and serenity.



Stylio witnessed a lot of his school peers and neighborhood adults take the wrong path and make some choices that had detrimental end results. He learned from his own mistakes as well as others and avoided engaging in all things that would contaminate his dreams. Challenges became the motor of his life and pop quizzes for measuring courage. He paid close attention to the cues and clues of life and began to realize at an early age that life wasnt a sprint, but an uphill marathon requiring an ongoing commitment to details, ideas and convictions.



As he matured, he began to feel a since of purpose and that there was more to life than the upheavals and negative environment that he was whirl pooled in. After years of looking to God for guidance, Stylio desired to move out of the city. But as fate has it, he felt grounded and realized that his chosen place and role in the universe was in Compton. He knew that he could trust Gods hand even though he didnt fully understand his plan. He viewed all endings as beginnings and through the heartache and trials of life, he gleamed knowledge which enabled him to charge the batteries of others.



Stylio considers himself as, The Knowledge Collector. His mission is to ascertain and collect as much information as he can because the more wisdoms he gains, the more seasoning he can spread around helping to give some taste of life to those who hunger for it. Like a wind mill machine that scoops up tons of water and kicks it back spreading water drops everywhere; whereas each water drop represents an element of knowledge. It is his belief that he can breakdown the barrier to help bring forth up and coming West Coast Talent by aiding artists in releasing their highest potential and drawing out their gifts and the true Champion that lies within them. Stylio states that Life has taught me some tough lessons. My music is deeply personal. I have had some deep experiences that have shaped me spiritually. Despite everything, Im optimistic about the future.



Stylio is an MC, a Percussionist and a Devastating performer, but his greatest gift is his writing ability. His personal library has over 300 songs and lyrically this number enhances daily. He has ghost written R&B, Alternative Rock & Roll and Hip Hop songs for various artists such as Suga Free ,Warren G & 8 Ball. Stylio made his stage debut in 2000 with the group May Day Boys during the Master P Dirty South Tour, performing to an audience of nearly 15,000 attendees. He says My purpose resolves around music. If your feeling discouraged and your heart is aching, then listening to music can help to ease the pain and uplift your spirit. Music can also stimulate many different feelings depending on the type of music and artist delivering it.



Stylios advantages are that unlike others, he is a visionary profound writer, passionate artist and intense performer. Stylio was the very last and the very best chosen on the roster of this new West Coast Breed of our era. Which features outstanding producers LRBC Productions, Eddie Bower, Keyz , G-1, Kenny McCould & Co-T. R&B singers K-Swavv, Rock, Ron Patterson, & Roniece. Also hot rappers such as Rell Spit, Sly Boogy, Krazy Loco, Iriz, Casino, The Game, Gorilla Black, DJ Pro, Wizdom, G. Bam, Young Zeek, Bishop Lamont, Cavi, Glasses Malone, Planet Asia and many more. There has been times when other artists heard Stylio and could not match the energy that he exudes making collaborations some what limited. However, Stylio is a team player who easily could stand alone and show his God given ability to control, inspire and convince anybody willing to listen, just what a true and genuine artist he really is.



Stylio never knows where his next musical inspiration will come from but the fire within him sparks up creativity because music is naturally hardwired into his bones. He states, Nothing pumps me up more than music. Im here to be a good man. If God is for me, who can be against me? I want to help pull people up as others have pulled me up. To do what you love to do and be paid for it is a wonderful joy. One cant ask for anything better than that.



Stylio wants to encourage all youth to stay away from drugs and gangs. I've had times in my life were I spiraled all the way to the bottom. My music, my true friends, my family and my God have lifted me up countless times. I know deep to the core how difficult it is for adolescents. It is easy for those Demons to capture a young mind. I can identify to falling down and relate to getting back up, dusting myself off and getting back into the race striving to reach the finish line.



I went through the fire and came out pure as gold. God can use me now! Through it all, I have fun with my music; which in its entirety is meaningful and deep. Music is my gift and I earnestly desire to be heard so that I, Stylio So Doggish, can revolutionize the game.
