Structured To Collapse

Influenced by a dying nation and a world at war, the foundation for a band known as "Structured To Collapse" began to form in central New York in the summer of 2007. After the members of "Set Her Jaw" parted ways, remaining members Jeff Alger, Arthur Alger and Luciano Cappelli recruited Rob Schoonmaker to supply the vocals for their newest project.



After solidifying five songs for their debut demo, STC headed to Groove Line Studios in Albany to begin recording in late 2007. After putting in many painstaking hours and traveling back and fourth to Albany for months, STC finally released their long awaited demo "The Death of Your Scene" in the spring of 2008.

Shortly after recording, drummer Arthur Alger left Structured to Collapse and was replaced with Matt Forbes. After quickly learning the songs on the demo, Matt began writing new material with Jeff and Luciano. Then adding Jared Snow on bass during the summer of 09, solidifying the core of this group.



Since the release of their self-funded demo "The Death of Your Scene", STC has kept themselves very busy promoting their demo, playing many shows (both local and out of state), and opening for bands such as Bury Your Dead ,Suicide Silence, American Me, IWrestledABearOnce, Born Of Osiris and Winds Of Plague.



Structured to Collapse is a band known for their live performance. Their sound is something that is both heard and felt. Precision. Technicality. Brutality. These are just a few words that can be used to describe the music that Structured to Collapse creates. Fast paced, hard-hitting drums lay the groundwork for frantic yet precise lead guitars and pounding bass, complimented by vocals with hair-raising intensity.

Their roots grounded in thrash, hardcore, death metal, and rock; STC delivers uncompromsing metal that stands tall above the rest. Every live show is a testament to their passion and hard work.



Not being held back by any particular genre, or categorized by an area code has helped STC to stay true to themselves and not give way to music fads and cliche's. The songs this band writes are for the listener who doesn't need their music spoon fed to them. With a solid death metal structure, both quirky and epic elements can be heard throughout Structured To Collapse's music.

The members of STC have a serious and passionate mindset but also a sense of humor and lighthearted nature that gives way to a sound with a northcountry attitude ever-present.



Now, with at least eleven songs under their belts and an unmistakable reputation, Structured To Collapse prepares to record their new material and organize a U.S. tour.
