Straphangers was established in 2001 by drummer and guitar team, Mike and Joey. The band has performed at venues across NY, NJ, DE, MD, CT, and PA over the years, while sharing the stage with many other hardcore, punk, metal, and thrash bands. As members have come and gone, Brittany, Emily, John, and Taras continue the band with Mike still on drums. And even though we have lost Joey, a founding member, and several other notable musicians such as Muppett, Larry, Danny, and Anthony, Straphangers still continues to deliver brutal music and a ferocious stage presence. Everyone's experience with hardcore, punk, and metal has allowed us to carry on the Straphangers sound and build on what has already been established.
Brutal sincerity is our bond and Old School Punk and Hardcore is our common link. Come to a Straphangers show and have a couple of drinks with us. You won't be disappointed.
