"A PRODUCER IS BORN."
Trace was born Jan. 5th 1990 in the small town of Galesburg, Il, halfway between Chicago and St. Louis, known for it's low employment and quantity of drugs. Growing up southern baptist in a lower class home, Trace knew from a young age that if he wanted to make something for himself it would have to be by himself, lord willing and with the support of his family. Growing up around music all his life, his dad being a drummer, getting him on the drums at a young age, and instruments like the bass guitar, guitar, and turntables, got him interested in music and sparked his ambitions of becoming a producer. So it is only right that Trace found his skill for music through his love of music.
"THE HUSTLE"
So Trace got a job at a restaurant as soon as he was of age, waiting tables to earn money while he was still in school. Trace knew that he had to do something he knew best and loved to do, and sitting at school was not one of them, and the long hours working dollar by dollar towards his dream put a toll on him and drove his interest in school farther and farther away. Even though getting his high school diploma would probably be the right choice in a town like Galesburg, Trace wanted more in life than to just "get buy", and knew that college was not in his future because of a lack of credits. So Trace dropped out, betting it all on music, and opened his own studio in his moms house out his bedroom. From there Trace networked and put out the word for local artist and any one wanting to record to come to him. Soon he had local artist calling him to do tracks and buy beats, and even put out a couple local mix-tapes.
"GRIND MODE"
In The fall of '07 Trace got a myspace page and started networking with artist in other states, taking his local hustle nationwide and put recording on hold to mainly focus on making beats. Linking up with Courtney Green of Georgia (rap and rnb artist, producer and owner of BengeClothingMint), Green taught and is still teaching him the fundamentals of the game and industry and is also networking with artist from Georgia to get Trace's name and beats more well-known. Soon after, Trace was on Green's page and came across a upstate New York artist by the name of Pounds, who has numerous mix-tapes out by dj's like Quan Da Bomb and his latest mix-tape, Young, Fat and Famous, hosted by Shadyville's very own Dj Noodles. Soon he was asking Trace to send beats and couldn't get enough, recording tracks such as, "Rich Girl" and "I'm On It", which you can find on this page. You can find Trace's beats as far south as Atlanta all the way up to St. Louis, Chicago, Indiana and as far north as Milwaukee.
"JUST THE BEGINING"
People come to Trace not because of what his name implies, which is to copy or duplicate, but the total opposite because his beats are original and unique, such as his personality. No matter what he's HIM and will always be, though Trace says that many producers influenced him, he never intends to sound like any other producer out there. Being a some what novice in the game, Trace is still learning critical info about producing and is open to criticism and insight from more experinced producers.
