Stone Soul Foundation is an exhilarating, timeless, hard rocking four-piece band. They are dynamic and captivating, creating original blues injected heavy rock and metal with elements of funk. Their music is relatable on many cerebral and emotional levels with a style reminiscent of the great seventies classic rock and metal, yet maintaining a fresh and relevant sound for today's music enthusiast.
Since their 2002 inception in the Syracuse, NY area, Stone Soul Foundation (SSF) have performed approximately 50 shows per year at clubs, festivals, and special events throughout the U.S. including the famed Whisky a GO GO in Los Angeles, and the SXSW Festival in Texas. Internationally known Classic Rock Magazine gave a glowing review and featured SSF's song "Ain't No Mystery" as the top track on the magazine's "Super Rock Power Hour" compilation CD. In addition, two members recently appeared on Animal Planet's "Hillbilly Hand Fishin" show for some 'noodling'! You can see a clip on www.stonesoulfoundation.com.
More recently, SSF had the opportunity to open for Bobaflex and will open for Otherwise in an upcoming show. They have previously been called upon to open for other notable musicians including Warrant, LA Guns, Black Stone Cherry, Rusted Roots' Michael Glabicki, Mountains' Leslie West and Grand Funk Railroads' Mark Farner as well as headlining the Harley Davidson 105th Anniversary Celebration. As we close 2012, SSF has learned their music is under consideration for an Indy film. Exciting things happening!
Who is SSF?
Sean Muldoon, lead singer and main lyricist, approaches writing and performing with equal parts raw aggression and a polished, soulful flow.
Jeff Wiggins on lead guitar captures you with his powerful heart-piercing guitar solos and pumped up crunched out guitar work.
Doug Paradise on bass guitar lays down a warm, rolling and pulsating bass to which all other instruments and minds lovingly adhere.
Shane Stillman raptures you with a solid and pronounced attack of the drums while maintaining an intricate command as they move you through a musical journey.
SSF continues their voyage by touring in support of their latest release "Electric Valley", recorded and produced with the legendary Alex Perialas (Anthrax, Testament, Bad Religion). Their tight and exhilarating shows have earned the band the respect of live music fans across the country. You could be next!
