The beginnings.
The guys meet for the first time the 22nd of January 2004 during a studio session and, realizing their potential, they decide to continue playing togheter
focusing on creating their own songs. During the same year the band records in April, July and December respectively the first, second and third
Demo / CD.
After selecting the songs they considered most representative of their
music in January 2005 they began the recording sessions of their debut album. The group policy is to remain indipendent in order to be free to take artistic decisions without "pressure" from "outside people". Then under the
direction of Rick Romano (guitarist and producer of the band), the album
begins to take shape. The instrumental parts are recorded by Rick at StolenMirror Studio, the vocals are recorded by Marco Astolfi at "Suoneria" Studio (Torino/Italy), mixed by Rick and mastered by Paul Abbott at Zen Mastering Studio in San Diego. In December 2005 the first 300 copies were printed and immediately sold-out.

Firsts goals and results.
2006: This is an important year for the band that achieve great goals. Just two years after their start, in February, thanks to an agreement with Awal agency, the band release the digital version of the album worldwide on iTunes Music Store. Assisted by Alkemist Fanatix Europe management & promotion, Stolen Mirror signs: in June a publishing contract with Tabloid / Risingworks, and some months later a worldwide distribution agreement with Copro / PHD Worldwide Distribution (Pearl Jam, Tool, Porcupine and many more), one of the most important UK indipendent distributors. The official release date of the debut album is September the 18th, 2006. So, Stolen Mirror, a band totally self-produced, in only 2 years, begin to reap the first fruits: the album distributed in over 160 digital stores as well as in physical stores, huge presence on the internet worldwide, more than 50 reviews of the album, on magazines and web-zines, including "Metal Hammer (UK)", "Powerplay (UK)", "BlackVelvet (UK). However the Band not stops there. During the last months of 2006 were involved in shooting the video for the song "Underneath", chosen as the debut single. The video, in full harmony with the philosophy of the band, is totally self-produced. The Director and Cinematographer is Dario Gardi. The idea is to make a strong and visionary video, using a concentrated mixture of digital graphics and reality.
2007: The band starts the year in the best way: by posting the video just made. The video is still available on YouTube and other media outlets in two version: censored and not. Meanwhile the band is training itself for the upcoming tourn. In April Stolen Mirror crossing the English Channel and visiting UK to start their promotional tour. During the tour the band has played gig in London, Croydon, Bedford, Exeter, Pontypridd and Boston. Returned from the Tour, in July, Stolen Mirror enter the studio to work on new songs for their second album.
The growing.
2008: In June, after a year focused on pre-production finally, the band starts the recording sessions in their own studio. The Recording engeneer / Producer is again Rick Romano. The idea behind this second album it is still the same: “Be indipendent”. However the band decide to give Supervision and Chief Producing jobs to the big producer Fabrizio Grossi (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Slash, Toto, Steve Lukater). After 4 months of hard-work all the songs are ready to be mixed. Mixer-engineer is the producer Fabrizio Grossi. As his amazing job is completed, the materials is given to Tom Baker - Precision Mastering Studio (Alter Bridge, Marilyn Manson, Nine inch Nails, Matrix Soundtracks, Ray Charles etc.) to finish the job.
“Really, This album has achieved a superior quality. We must say Thank You to the great job made by the experts involved in this production” - StolenMirror
During the 2009, thanks to Alkemist Promotion Agency, the band sign a publishing contract with Carlo Bellotti publishing (for Italy) and with Warner/Chappell U.S.A. (for the rest of the world). Knowing that the future of music is digital, they decide to release the album only digitally.
The album has been released digitally May, the 10th 2010. You can buy it online on iTunes, Play, Amazon etc.
For fans and supporter, the band is selling a special limited edition of the physical CD in 500 copies that are almost sold out.
