Being a temporary is a difficult quality to achieve, but for Steve Smyth, singer and writer, it turns out to be his main skill. Co-ming from the southern coast of NEW SOUTH WALES (AUSTRALIA), the bohemian itinerary life of Smyth has taken him all the way across North America , Europe and Asia. Time never stopped long enough for him to grow roots anywere but it did allow him to live plenty of experiences that reflects in his songs. After the great success of his previous album “Release” (2011), just came back with another excellent album named EXITS (2014) with the label of “Ivy League Records”, on it energetic “SHAKE IT”, qualified by Rolling Stones’ magazine as one of the best clips of the year.

This last album (EXITS) has been recorded in Echo Park, on the sha-de of Hollywood’s hills and with Joey Waronker on the drums (Atoms ForPeace, Thom Yorke, Beck) and Gus Seyffert on the bass (The Black Keys,Norah Jones). EXITS combines blues with a spectacular ladder of rythms, marked by abstract guitars. An album full of contrast showing strength and sweetness.

From the streets of Paris, he’s been travelling around the world, opening up concerts for stars like The Killers, Angus y Julio Stone and Lanie Lane. Smyth has proved, over and over, to have an incre-dibly brilliant and skilled life performance. A voice immerged in Bourbon with Lousiana ́s feeling. Sometimes capable of rising to the sky with sweetness ... After experiencing his performance, it is a temptation to compare Steve Smyth with some of the greatest vocalist of the last decades.
