Toto Announce First Dates of Their “An Evening With” Summer Tour of The U.S.
I had fans texting me last night looking for information on where the band was playing in the next few months – I found out this morning like everyone else but it shows how eager the fans are.

The dates, so far, are mostly in the East of center starting in Lake Charles, Louisiana on June 2nd and winding up Salina, Kansas on June 1st. More dates are expected.

The core Toto members, Steve Lukather, David Paich, Steve Porcaro, Joseph Williams will be joined by Lenny Castro (percussion), Shannon Forest (drums), Shem von Schroeck (bass), Warren Ham (saxophone, vocals). Guitarist Steve Lukather shares, “We had such a great time last summer that we wanted to regroup and hit some cities we didn’t get to last time. Always a thrill to bring our full show around the country.”

Let's talk about the new guy who is not new at all to music - Shem von Schroeck. He's played with Ambrosia, Christopher Cross, Don Felder of the Eagles, Kenny Loggins and many more. The guy is a bad-ass bassist and an unbelievable singer. Interestingly, he started on drums.

Toto is working on recently found unearthed tunes which features some past members most notably Jeff Porcaro. There are at least 4 tracks that they just finished in the studio along with some new stuff. The big 40th Anniversary album and tour will happen next year but why wait?
