Steve Lake, born in St.Croix, U.S Virgin Island. And lived in Tampa Fl from 1986 to 1994.In Tampa I played with Four Reggae/Calypso Band JOHUKAMES Posse, Culture Roots, Element and Democracy. I moved to Atlanta in 1994 and played with Maliki which is a top 40 /rock band and EX VORTEX (Hip Hop / Rock band).
Currently playing with Mausiki Scales & Common Ground Collective AFRO BEAT)(guitar), Alicia & Rumba Brava (SALSA & MERENGUE BAND)(bass) and others. I am working with the 1 hip hop producer Sol Messiah, His music very different from all the rest Hip Hop music you hear from the artist of today. I also have worked with Archie Bell from the Drell, Cree Summer (from Different world), Oukast (stankonia), Nappy Roots, Lauryn Hill, Deadprez, Jatis, Yarzarah, Ray Cash, Hustlelove, Benny D,Rock City Boyz,Julie Dexter,Dionne Farris, Chamillionare (Sound of Revenge) ,Rico Love,Anthony David and many others.
