Stefan Brisland-Ferner

I started playing music at the age of 9, learning the violin. Around 13, I hated it but somehow the newly discovered world of, especially, early Kraftwerk gave me confidence that the violin could be a cool instrument and that I could find my own place. I started listening to scandinavian folk music and learned it. I also discovered electronic music and I was an obsessed David Bowie fan. Can't remember how now but somehow Martin Gore from Depeche Mode made me realize that I could do music myself and I recorded simple songs on two tape machines.

I've been playing with many bands, most notably Garmarna which has been my main occupation for the past 13 or so years. Today, I have three bands: Garmarna, Hurdy-Gurdy and The Charm. In The Charm I'm playing the keyboard which is fun and make me pretty humble and for own purposes I can make a pretty good Angry Young Guitar.I do a lot of studio work and have long experience Logic and Cubase etc.
