John Pancaldo and Erik Lieblein started Steak in Boulder Colorado 1993 with Stu Damm on Drums and TJ Thomas on Bass . The band quickly developed a loyal following and spent the next 6 years touring around in various vans and a mini school bus called the Bev Jolly (named after it's last schoolbus driver) complete with bunk beds and a small library.

The band relocated to San Francisco in 1995 and finally to Erik, Stu and John's homeland of the New York City area in 1999.

The band has been somewhat er on hiatus since 2001, but hey no one can say the Steak experience is over.

The last CD, "Feasting on Famine", has the songs , "Big Bear" and "Second To The Bottle" in the movie, "Super Troopers".

John Pancaldo can now also be known as Jack Grace of The Jack Grace Band (his grandparents names) in Brooklyn NY and Erik Lieblein can also be found as Erik Lee Bline (so folks can finally pronounce his last name right). Erik lives in LA, Martha's Vineyard, Larchmont, Paris, Antigua and maybe even with you one day.

Stu has long hair and plays in various bands around NYC. TJ don't play the bass no more, but he's still a great guy and lives in SF.
