We’re a Lincoln Band working with Eden Records, and have a UK Chart Release out now "Falling From These Eyes" ;)

"With a fierce combination of determination and rare, raw talent, this exceptional four-piece have become something of a self-managed phenomenon; Arranging online single releases, winning over countless critics and supporting names from the original indie ilk including Rick Buckler from The Jam and the Stone Roses Experience.

This Lincoln-based band are coming to the end of their first full year together in their current line-up, having spent 2007 playing the best venues in their home city (including the nation’s finest new venue, The Engine Shed) and using their unrivalled sound to reach new fans in new cities, towns, villages, hamlets, caves and hovels. And now with the pre-Christmas release of their new single - the excellently assured “Falling From These Eyes” - 2008 is set to be a significant year and truly see Starter become a recognisable name and sound among individual fans and industry boardrooms.

The combined dynamism, professionalism and genialism of frontman Eddie Langley, guitarist Rob Hunt, bassist Lee Wiles and drummer Mikey Nicholson is undeniably awesome – they are local lads done good, with more good yet to do.

And now for their sound – taking the very best from an influential list, upon which sit The Stereophonics, The Stone Roses, The Libertines, The Charlatans and even Blink 182 and adding something secret, Starter know a good tune. Their melodies are sublime, their basslines faultless, the contained lyricism accessible and inspired and the beats finely executed. They don’t have a devoted fanbase and over 30,000 MySpace hits for nothing! They are, quite simply, a band who take their writing, their tunes and their performances seriously without taking themselves at all seriously. All the while, they inspire critics nationwide to comment like they’ve been bribed!"

"Merry Christmas, Mezz Bar!" rips through the sound

system like Dave Grohl wearing a Santa hat, and

Starter are straight into their set with choruses The Foos

themselves would be proud of. Half an hour of raw guitars

later, and Starter end their set with their sing-along,

dance-along single ’Falling From These Eyes’, their best of the night"

(Sandman Magazine, Live Review).

"Starter set a new precedent of how locally produced songs can sound, and should sound. The influence of The Stereophonics becomes more apparent as Starter’s career progresses, mostly due to the resemblance between Eddie and Kelly Jones’ voices as both sound as if they gargle with sharp sand – and that’s not a new comparison.
