Stand Down Houston

Stand Down Houston (or SDH as the hardcore fans call it), started about 4 or 5 years ago under the name Student Uprising. After playing around and establishing a name for ourselves we did what any band would do once they started gaining popularitywe changed our name. The public, clueless as to where we went started noticing there was a new band in town under the title Stand Down Houston, basically an interesting blend of sounds ranging from Alkaline Trio, AFI, The Distillers and Tsunami Bomb to Rush, Pat Benatar and Metallica. We knew no limits. Even though the band has seen some roster changes with one original member leaving, gaining two news one and then losing one of them, we've finally established a solid members list composed of Kelsey on bass/vocals, James on the six-string and Joe banging on those drums. Constantly looking to combine all of our musical tastes to create something original, and utterly irresistable, SDH is always thinking of new ways to get our unique music heard. With a new EP coming out in the hot months of this year we're thinking big things for `07.
