Hi!

I'm Stacy Mitchhart. If you want to read the official biography you can go to my website StacyMitchhart.com and go to band biographies. Here's the casual and personal version.

I'm a musician!! One of the noblest proffessions in the world. Blues is my first love but I cheat on her with jazz, soul, funk, hip hop, neosoul, latin, classic rock, country & classical. But never heavy metal, punk, polka, etc.

My music is my life, my wife, my mistress, my passion. I sing, play guitar, bass, and compose. I own my own record label, Dr Sam Records. I've put out 8 CDs and a DVD. They have done fairly well for me. Got my first Grammy Nod (first round nominee for Contemporary Blues Album) this year. Got my first 1 song(You Turn Me On) last year. It was in the niche Beach Music Market.

If nothing else, I'm determined. I'm 49 and I still get excited about doing this like I was 16 again. The guys in my band are like that too. Nothing I hate more than a musician who "mails it in" and takes it for granted. You've been given a gift, be thankful.

My professional advice to young folks, If you're asked to do something and it's something you wouldn't want your Mom to see or hear-- you should probably pass! I wish I'd never done that HBO thing-- nothing terrible but it made people look at me different and took focus off my musical career.

On a personal level, I LOVE sports. Basketball 1(when will the Knicks be good again?), Football2(Go Bengals, Titans). I'm very competetive. I'd like to believe that I still got a jump shot--let's go 1 on 1!lol

Love cards also- cribbage, spades, poker, & blackjack. I'm a Cadillac man. Love 'em. I've had a 68, (3) 69's, 81, 86, 93, & my 2003 Escalade. One day I'm gonna get the 2 that I want-- an off the frame restoration of a 68 drop top, and a triple white "Super Fly" laid out(diamond in the back, sunroof top, diggin the scene with a gangster lean) 73 sedan deville. I grew up in the 70's- I can't help it.

I tend to keep friends for life, something I'm proud of.

I hope you like my music, because it is an extension of me, and come to my shows when I get to your town.

Peace,

Stacy
