Austin-based band squint was born in the icy tundra of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Childhood friends guitarist Matt Fredrickson and vocalist Dane Adrian relocated squint to Austin, Texas in 2008, where they have just finished recording their third album, Goodnight, Bad Intentions. Produced by Dave Percefull (Bowling for Soup, Caroline's Spine, David Cook), squint continues to grow an extremely loyal fan base, who affectionately call themselves Sqroupies. The video for the title track and first single, "Goodnight, Bad Intentions," has already been released and is being aired on national television. "Goodnight, Bad Intentions" is also included on the 2010 Jägermeister Music compilation of which 200,000 copies have been pressed. The album will be released on October 23rd, 2010.

"Balls out and zipper-snagged."
- Alternative Press

"Squint's music is chock-full of sticky pop hooks, with lyrics both general enough for mass appeal and clever enough to set the band apart."
- Chris Smith, Houston Press

"This gets my vote for the best rock I've heard in a long time. Raw energy, guts and balls…well constructed and performed. [The] performances are great…edgy and upfront…just cynical enough to captivate…if you like high energy rock with a little punk flavoring, you should check this out."
- Gods of Music (www.godsofmusic.com)

"Bold, powerful energetic rock. Pure satisfaction; great hooks and music. These guys really know how to work a stage. You've got to see them perform…simply amazing."
- Mike Stahl - bandradio.com

"squint kicks ass"
- Willie Nelson

Squint's first album, Beeker opened doors to touring regionally. They acquired a fair amount of recognition in the South and Southeast, and their first break came when they landed a show opening for the Toadies in Monroe, Louisiana. Soon after, they played their first arena show, opening for the Goo Goo Dolls at Louisiana Tech University. For their sophomore album, squint got the attention of the legendary Ed Stasium (Ramones, Soul Asylum, Pennywise, Motörhead), and he signed on to take the reins as producer. The resulting album, Tinsel Life, earned them a New Music Award nomination at the American Music Awards. Tinsel Life made CMJ's Top 20 Adds and charted on the CMJ Top 200. At commercial radio, Tinsel Life immediately charted on the Top 20 Specialty Radio charts. Squint also earned slots on Touchtunes Jukeboxes, DMX Radio, and on Sirius XM.

Sponsor Jägermeister has featured squint on several Jäger Music Tours, as well as this year's Rockstar Energy UPROAR Festival with Disturbed and Avenged Sevenfold. Squint's songs have been featured on the Travel Channel, NBC, MTV, VH1, A&E, Oxygen, Nickelodeon, and TLC. Microphone stand manufacturer Atlas joined forces with squint in 2004, making vocalist Dane Adrian possibly the first artist in history to have a microphone stand endorsement. Atlas has featured squint in multiple ads, including a full page in this year's Musician's Friend Holiday Buying Guide. Squint is also proudly sponsored by AKG Microphones.

Since the release of Tinsel Life, squint has performed an average of over one hundred shows a year, gracing the stage with Staind, Fall Out Boy, Hinder, Trapt, Stone Sour, and the Toadies. Squint has also donated over $33,000 to Parkinson disease research through their annual charity festival, Squintfest. These accomplishments, and their hard work and solid songwriting, has earned squint the ASCAP Plus Award every year from 2003 to 2012.
