The band was born in the March of 2006 from the idea of Sergio Casabianca (guitar), Alfio Bonaccorsi (Drums) and Giuseppe Gentile (vocals) of creating a metal cover band, just to have fun. During the first times the original trio has to change some bass and guitar players, while taking a more settled direction towards thrash and heavy metal, inspired by Iron Maiden and Metallica. The group finally gets stability, changes its name from “I-Scream” to “Handfast” and replaces, definitively, the 2�guitarist.So Silvio Lo Grasso enters the band which changes the name in the current one (a drummer’s idea), Spreadin’Fear. The band makes its sound heavier englobing Pantera’s style [RIP Dime] in its repertoire and takes gigs in some pubs, gaining a good success. Beyond the plenty of covers which the group has developed , the band starts working on its own songs. Three of them took part of their first demo, “3 Nights Of Fear”, recorded at "Officina Sonora Analogica" in Catania. This demo style's strongly influence by classic heavy metal and doesn't offer great chances to the band. After a while the bass player left the band because of musical divergences and a new member, Giuseppe Campisi joins the band as bass player, bringing a great enthusiasm in the group. With this line-up the band wrote some new songs which will be part of the first album named "Pieces of Mankind". Four of these songs are recorded at Empathy Studios in their second demo which take its name from the next coming album, "Pieces of Makind". These tracks show a stronger thrash attitude and some progressive influences. "Pieces Of Makind Demo" gets some good reviews on an handful of italian webzines and gives the band the chance of joining some Metal Festival in Sicily. At the beginning of 2009 Sergio Casabianca and Giuseppe Campisi left the band because of musical divergences. They are replaced by Fabio Battaglia ( guitar ) and Andrea Caponnetto ( Bass ). The band's sound now moves to a stronger and more aggressive sound. Il gruppo nasce nel marzo del 2006 dall’idea di Sergio Casabianca (chitarra), Alfio Bonaccorsi ( Batteria ) e Giuseppe Gentile ( voce ) di creare una cover band metal, per puro divertimento. Nei primi tempi vari elementi ruotano attorno al trio iniziale, nel ruolo di 2�chitarra e basso, mentre il gruppo prende una direzione sempre pi� decisa verso il thrash e l’heavy metal, ispirandosi ad Iron Maiden e Metallica. Dopo un breve periodo di assestamento, e dopo aver cambiato il proprio nome da I-Scream ad Handfast il gruppo trova costanza con un nuovo chitarrista. Ad inserirsi, definitivamente, � Silvio Lo Grasso ed insieme a lui il gruppo cambia il nome nell’attuale Spreadin’Fear (frutto dell’idea del batterista), appesantisce il proprio sound inglobando nel proprio repertorio sonorit� pi� pesanti ispirate ai Pantera [RIP Dime] e si esibisce in numerose serate nei pub e manifestazioni Rock e Metal locali, riscuotendo un buon successo. Oltre alle numerose cover sviluppate, il gruppo inizia a lavorare costantemente sui propri pezzi. Tre di questi vanno a comporre la prima demo “3 Nights Of Fear”, registrata presso l'Officina Sonora Analogica a Catania. Lo stile della demo delinea ancora un forte attaccamente all'heavy metal classico e l'uscita del prodotto non offre grandi opportunit� alla band. Dopo la separazione con il precedente bassista, dovuta a divergenze musicali, un nuovo membro, Giuseppe Campisi si propone con alla band. Con questa formazione il gruppo completa la stesura di nuovi pezzi che andranno costituire il materiale per il prima album della band dal titolo "Pieces of mankind". Intanto 4 di questi pezzi sono scelti per la demo ,dallo stesso titolo, "Pieces of Mankind" registrata nel marzo del 2008 presso gli empathy studios di Fabio Monaco. Lo stile, stavolta, mostra una pi� marcata attitudine thrash e non disdegna una certa vena progressive. L'uscita della demo riceve alcune buona recensioni presso webzine italiana e d� alla band la possibilit� di esibirsi in alcuni festival in sicilia. Nei primi mesi del 2009 Sergio Casabianca e Giuseppe Campisi lasciano il gruppo per divergenze musicali. Al loro posto entrano Fabio Battaglia ed Andrea Caponnetto rispettivamente alla chitarra ed al basso. Con loro la band intraprende una svolta verso sonorit� pi� aggressive e cupe e, probabilmente, pi� moderne.
