An unheard mix of unique vocals, energetic guitars, and an outright insane live show is what Split the Enemy brings to the table. Since the days of playing the local pizza shops in junior high school in 2004 to the release of their debut EP “Hope In Distance” back in 2005, Split the Enemy's music has been described as it's own sound. With melodic vocals, brutal screams and caverness breakdowns, “Hope In Distance” had great reviews from Get Out Magazine,The Arizona Republic & The Phoenix NewTimes. The ground swell was noticed by DJ's Larry Mac and Marcus Meng of KUPD which landed them a live interview on Larry Mac’s local radio broadcast, and put them in regular rotation on Marcus Meng's Sunday nights Into the Pit.

The EP was distributed throughout the valley at Zia Records, Hot Topic, and other local music shops around AZ. After playing show after show and gathering a strong fan base promoting their debut EP, Split the Enemy decided to start working on their full length album and raise the bar once again.

With the band improving their fanbase & music capabilities, the plan was to expand the new album & top their EP to solidify the real sound of Split the Enemy. Once again they headed to Soundvision Studios to record the new full length album “The Beast Manifests” with producer/engineer Michael Beck( Abigail Williams, Knights of the Abyss).

The 10 track album was highly anticipated throughout the valley. Studio drummer and all around badass Kevin Talley(Chimara,Dying Fetus), came out to AZ and helped produce Skyler during his tracking, which enhanced not only his capabilities but the overall feel of the release. The album dropped in mid 2008 and promptly established themselves as the must-see local metal band. “The Beast Manifests” got them back onto KUPD's Into the Pit and is still being played Sunday nights by Marcus Meng. It also landed them higher profile sold out shows playing with national acts such as Five Finger Death Punch, Austrian Death Machine, Devil Driver and many more. This helped gained the added exposure needed to bring the band into their potential.

They have recently written & recorded a new single that features Bjorn Strid (Soilwork) on guest vocals. Once again Kevin Tally was brought in to assist in the drums as well as Eyal Levi (Daath) to help Zach and Mike while they tracked guitars.

Split the Enemy is constantly writing new music and looks forward to realizing the plans they have set before them. The band is already in the midst of touring to support their recent release & will make any & all efforts to continue what they do best, which is stay true to the music.

Fans/Friends/Family: Our band couldn't have gone anywhere without you supporting us every step of the way. We love you for that, and we all thank you guys for being so dedicated and supportive through thick and thin. See you @ the shows. Much Love
