Hip-hop producer hooks up with A&R Select



Los Angeles, CA – Producer KJ has teamed up with A&R Select, the premier A&R firm based out of Los Angeles, CA. With A&R Select’s wealth of music industry resources as his ally, KJ is looking to further expand his work in the hip-hop field.

He’s already a packed schedule. KJ can always be found in the studio, working on new music and collaborating with a variety of artists. And as a producer, he does much more than turn knobs. Indeed, songs penned by KJ are finding their way to light through a number of independent artists’ CD releases.

The next step is mainstream breakthrough – something KJ aims to achieve with the help of A&R Select.

The inspiration that pushes him out of bed and into the studio ever day is the simple but powerful motivation of trying to be the best. KJ has devoted his life to mastering the intricacies of song composition and production. He’s more than a technician – he’s a musician. Some producers just make an artist’s songs sound clean and crisp. But the best producers are actively involved in the creative process.

And right in the middle of the creative mix is where KJ loves to be.

“Knowing I have a responsibility … to influence and inspire others is a great feeling!” he says.

KJ also notes that while he may be a workaholic, he plays just as hard as he works. “I love to play basketball – I mean love to play. I’ve got it bad.” But that just comes with being a man of passion. Knobs are just tools. The power is with the person manipulating the technology.
