"The cover art for Delight, the new release by Spirit and Dust, gives us a hint of what we might find inside. The picture is a very child-like drawing portraying what seems to be a relaxing day for some campers as a lone guitarist plays music for the world to hear. However, the campers must enjoy this beautiful setting wearing their gas masks. Is it a foretelling of the future or what is happening now? Maybe both. Spirit and Dust originally the moniker used by Kristen Sylvester to reveal her stories, but now she is joined by Jesse Kennedy and John Romberger who help weave her tales on a tapestry of Americana with melodies that lie somewhere in our subconscious. While it's true that Sylvester is still a teenager, her songs sound more like they were written by a woman who has experienced life and lives with the weight of the world on her shoulders while she struggles to hold on to the idealistic hope that connects all of us to our youth. That's certainly a heavy burden for someone to carry considering that she can't even legally drink her sorrows away yet, but her words still remain universal."
